JKA-BC is a group of affiliated Shotokan karate dojos operating within the province of British Columbia. Although each member club operates independently, we come together regularly for group training sessions and jointly or individually host seminars and training camps. We are bound together by our friendship, common history, and loyalty to our Chief Instructor, Yasuo Sakurai Shihan.

JKA-BC and its member clubs are the only karate organizations in B.C. affiliated with the Japan Karate Association and entitled to refer to themselves as "JKA".
