Several JKA BC clubs offer online training. We’ve put together this schedule so that members of JKA BC clubs who are interested can see which classes are available on which days, in case they would like to participate. For further information, please get in touch with the contact individuals for the respective clubs, who are listed at the bottom of this document.
MONDAYS
Kelowna – Mondays on Zoom
3:45-4:40pm (Intermediate Peewee/Kids)
5:00-5:55pm (intermediate/ Advance Kids)
6:15-6:55pm (Beginner Peewee)
7:15-8:30pm (Int.Youth/Adult Advance)
Abbotsford -Mondays and Wednesdays: 6:00-6:45 pm on Zoom (Starting Monday, September 14th!) Beginner Program: This is a ten-session program for anyone who has no karate background. The intent is to get new members to a point where they will be able to participate in the regular Zoom classes. Classes focus on basics and standard karate warm-ups. The focus is on adults and motivated teenagers (or parent-child pairs). Classes in the Beginner Program are 45 minutes long.
North Vancouver – Mondays, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Zoom: This is an all-levels class for both adults and juniors. It is only streamed if we know in advance that someone wants to participate.
TUESDAYS
Kelowna – Tuesdays on Zoom
5:20-6:20pm (Beginner Family)
6:45-7:45pm (Intermediate/ Advance Family)
Abbotsford -Tuesdays: 6:00-7:00 pm on Zoom: This class is for all belts and all ages, provided they have either completed our beginner program or have some karate background. The primary focus is on basics that can be done in limited spaces. There will also be some kata development and practice. As this is an all ages and all belts class, the katas may include Kihon Kata and the Heian katas.
WEDNESDAYS

Abbotsford -Thursdays
4:30-5:15pm on Zoom: This class is for children (age 7 and up) of all levels, primarily focusing on learning and developing basics. These classes also include some fun components that are carefully selected to keep children motivated, develop balance, and improve co-ordination.
6:00 – 7:00 pm on Zoom: This class is an intermediate/advanced class, and is intended for adults, motivated teens, and parent-child combinations. The basics in this class are more advanced and typically feature more variety in the combinations, and/or more techniques in each combination. Katas in this class may include any of the Heian katas and/or any of the more advanced katas.

SATURDAYS
Kelowna – Saturdays on Zoom

10:00-10:55am (Intermediate/Advance Kids)
11:30-12:45pm (Beginner/Intermediate/Advance member)
Abbotsford - Saturdays: 10:30-11:30 am outdoors: While weather conditions are favourable, this class is more of a traditional group training class, but done outdoors. Presently, we are training at Bakerview School, but this may change back to Zoom or to a different location depending on a variety of factors. As this is an all ages and all levels class, the basics will be relevant and accessible to all levels.
North Vancouver – Saturdays, 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Zoom: This is an all-levels class for both adults and juniors. It is only streamed if we know in advance that someone wants to participate.

FEES
Abbotsford - Karateka who are already JKA-BC members of other dojos will be permitted to participate in regular classes for $20 per device per month. (e.g. two family members may sign in on one device and pay one fee).
Kelowna – no fees for online training at this time.
North Vancouver – no fees for online training at this time.
